Professor Peiravian

Farid Peiravian – peiravi@uic.edu

Bio/Current work: Dr. Peiravian holds a Ph.D. in Transportation Planning and specializes in the application of GeoSpatial techniques—including GeoAI—in Civil and Transportation Engineering. With academic training in Civil Engineering (B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D.) and a certificate in GIS, Dr. Peiravian’s work focuses on Spatial Analysis, Sustainability, Resilience, Safety, and Accessibility. His research interests include Applications of GeoAI,  Urban Resiliency, and Active Transportation. He brings a blend of practical experience and analytical expertise to his roles as a researcher, educator, and practitioner.

Bio/Current work: Hey! I’m Adan. I’m a senior civil engineering student at UIC with an interest in expanding public transportation. Some of the hobbies I enjoy are apple and peach picking in Michigan, exploring all kinds of music, and I am also a passionate soccer fan who will always play for the shirt! As VP I’m looking forward to growing this organization together and share our common interest in going from point A to B.

Bio/Current work: Hello! My name is Russell Campbell and I am a current Junior at UIC. I am pursuing my BS in civil engineering with an emphasis on transportation. I am interested in the analytical side of transportation and improving our nations infrastructure through creative thinking. My focus in this club as treasurer will be to manage budget allocation and fundraising in order to grow club involvement.
